Dr Powell is the most thorough primary care physician I have met. He’s been caring for my husband and I for almost two years. I would highly recommend his medical advice, his concierge services are by far the best! He is always responding to us no matter when we reach out to him.

Dr Powell has been a great addition to the practice. He takes the time to listen and is very thorough. I have received follow-up texts and calls each time that I have met with him. He genuinely cares for people and has the knowledge and resources to help you to heal.

I have worked with Dr. Powell as a hospitalist at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was always attentive to patient's concerns and had a natural thirst for learning. Due to these qualities, he has been continuously cultivating and growing his superb ability to take care of patients. I am sure that he will do great things at SC Internal Medicine.

I am fortunate and grateful to have been a patient of Dr. Long since moving to Hilton Head in 2007, and am thrilled that Dr. Powell was carefully chosen by Dr. Long to take over this esteemed practice. Dr. Powell is welcoming, compassionate, always available, and has been helping us through some challenging issues. It is difficult to find a credentialed internal medicine physician of this caliber accepting new patients in the Hilton Head area, so keep this in mind!

Where to even begin with Dr.Powell. He has helped my family with some of the worst situations and made them better 100% of the time. He knows how to talk to people like they’re human instead of using big words or lingo patients can’t understand. He is down to earth and cares about his patients even after he clocks out. He’s always checking in because he truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone and I hope SC treats him well, He deserves it!
